Microsoft Security Development Lifecycle - Tools

Incorporating automation into the development lifecycle is an investment in software quality. The Microsoft Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) process guidance requires or recommends the use of certain security-focused tools as part of the development process. It is important to understand which tools are appropriate for the various phases of the development lifecycle. Development organizations will need to choose tools that meet cost and quality requirements and ensure that developers and testers possess sufficient expertise to use them appropriately.
